During
our Annual Membership Meeting this November, we are proud to have the
opportunity to shine a spotlight on some of our members’ most exciting
innovations. In the scholarly spirit of IHA’s first CEO and leader of 23 years,
Elton “Tek” TeKolste, we will host our first series of “TEK Talks.” During
these short, high-energy presentations, creativity is key as our members will
showcase their novel initiatives to share insights and inspire other hospital
leaders. IHA leadership and other subject matter experts will review all
submissions and select several concepts to be presented during the meeting on
Nov. 1 or 2. Talks should be 10 to 15 minutes in duration, and we encourage you
to share any innovations you’ve recently implemented at your facility. Categories
could include, but are not limited to:
- Consumerism
in Health Care
- Workforce
or Process Innovations
- Payment
or Delivery System Experiments
- Quality
and Safety Improvements
- Technology
and Data Analytics
- Population
Health and Community Engagement
We
are looking for enthusiastic presenters who will engage the audience at the
Annual Membership Meeting and highlight innovation occurring throughout Indiana
hospitals. If you would like to be considered to present a TEK Talk, a brief
outline and relevant supporting documentation must be submitted to Laura
Gilbert, IHA meeting and event planner, at lgilbert@IHAconnect.org by Aug. 18.
Multiple concepts from the same facility are allowed and encouraged.
Submissions may come from any individual within the organization, but must be
endorsed by the hospital CEO.
